Ulsan HD has thickened its squad with promising players from Hyundai High School, a youth team under its wing.
Midfielder Park Jae-sung and goalkeeper Ryu Sung-min from Hyundai High School were selected by the Ulsan club as the first designated players and returned to Ulsan after polishing on the university stage, respectively.
First, Ryu Sung-min graduated from Hyundai High School in 2022, went to Chung-Ang University, and came to prominence by directly taking over the team's last stand from the 2023 season.
From the first year of college admission, he helped the team win the U-League area and the King's match, and this year, he played as the main goalkeeper in the College Football Federation match, playing a leading role in the team's settlement at the top.
Ryu stands 188 centimeters tall and weighs 83 kilograms, and is considered to be highly agile and outstanding in physical conditions. In addition, Ryu has been recognized for his growth potential through training and experience on the professional stage.
Yoon Jae-seok, who moved to Ulsan this season after completing his adaptation to the professional stage last season, and Ryu Sung-min, who shared a meal at Chung-Ang University, are expected to create synergy in team adaptation and performance.
Ryu Seong-min said, "Joining Ulsan means a lot to me. I envied senior players from Hyundai High School from a distance when I saw them playing in professional teams. Now that I have a chance, I will do my best," he said.
Likewise, Hyundai High School midfielder Park Jae-sung returned to Ulsan after gaining experience at Sangji University.
Park established himself as the team's main midfielder right after going to college. Park, who mainly plays defensive midfielder positions, solidified his position in the team early on with his unique ability to manage games.
Above all, Park Jae-sung, who played as the center of the team at the 20th 1st and 2nd graders' college football tournament held earlier this year, also showed off his skills by being on the list of the "Denso Cup," a regular soccer match between Korea and Japan.
Park, who returned to Ulsan after a four-year absence, said, "It's good to be back in Ulsan. I tried to grow one step more every year. There are still many more things to grow, but I think I was able to join Ulsan through rewards and proofs for the process. It was a great motivation for me to focus more on soccer." 안전놀이터
